I bought these for use with an intermediate/advanced ESL class (high school). This is the perfect level for them. I really like the exercises that go along with the words, using a definition parts matching activity, finding synonyms and antonyms and then the best part is the reading passage at the end with the vocab words in it. Prior to this I was creating all of my own vocab materials and it was very time intensive. This is probably the only manufactured resource that I've ever used that I feel does a good job of getting the kids to practice the words in depth-- enough so that they seem to actually internalize the definitions. This does not come with the assessment book and I did have to purchase that separately. Also this takes a LONG TIME to grade, so if you are looking to give these out for a grade, know that it will take 10-15 minutes per packet to mark all of the answers.Product details

I get this for a back up for the kids in school. Someone is always forgetting a book the day the homework is do. It's nice to have extra sets of the material
